Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that displays bactericidal activity against gram-negative aerobic bacilli and some anaerobic bacilli where resistance has not yet arisen. The detection of veterinary drug residues such as neomycin in raw milk is of great concern for the dairy industry because of the potential interfering and adverse effects of antibiotic residues frequently found in raw milk.

Intended Use
